Most common FAQ answers for my clients:
What to wear?
No solid whites please. Or thick bold stripes…Mainly…neutral tones that reflect your style. No harsh prints unless you’ve brought an extra outfit and you want to make a statement. It’s all about finding the right style for you. Jeans and layered clothing are perfect as we can change out from shoot to shoot. Just come comfortable and know that it’s a free for all upon shooting. Creativity kicks in and you never know what will look good until we start shooting. If your a large family….just keep all colors within the same color family.
Outside shots only?
I only shoot outside locations for portraiture and large families. It’s just the ideal light and I’m totally obsessed with light. The shoot times are mornings 8am-10am and/or late afternoon 3:30pm-6pm. (keep in mind, daylight savings time will change and these time slots will also!)
*please note, all pregnancy and/or mother/nursing pictures will be taken inside and the shoot times will be mid afternoon where the light is super strong coming through your windows.
Oh…and weddings…see my weddings link for further details.
Can I bring props?
Absolutely! I love antique chairs and benches! Grandma’s furniture makes the best items to put right in the middle of a cow field.
Please feel free to bring bubble machines, musical instruments, child’s footstool, scarves, toys, large candy suckers, chenille blankets with texture would be fabulous to lay in a field of bluebonnets. My goal is to capture the fun and emotion in your shot. Bringing these types of things really set us up for great pics!
